Graham W. Jackson Sr.
Graham W. Jackson Sr. was a celebrated musician best known for playing the accordion at President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s funeral in 1945. His performance of “Going Home” became an iconic image in American history. During a time of racial segregation, Jackson’s musical talent earned him national recognition and respect. His career reflects the cultural influence and artistic excellence present within Atlanta’s Black community.
