Freddye Henderson
Freddye Scarborough Henderson was the first African American to study Fashion Merchandising at her school. She helped create a national group for fashion designers and held a big fashion show for African American people in 1953.

With her husband, she started a travel service company specializing in helping people take cultural trips to Africa and connect with their homeland. Freddye Scarborough Henderson opened her travel service in Atlanta. She played a huge role in impacting the lives of historical figures like Dr. MLK Jr., and even arranged the trip for him to get his Nobel Prize. She also affected the lives of everyday citizens, helping them take trips back to Africa to connect with their heritage.
