Bazoline E. Usher

Bazoline E. Usher was a trailblazing educator whose 40-year career in Atlanta Public Schools broke barriers for African American students and faculty. As the first African American to hold an office in Atlanta City Hall, she expanded opportunity and shaped the future of Black education in the segregated South.
